Privacy Policy
Effective: May 26, 2026. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. Plain English version: our calculators never send your debt data anywhere. We use analytics for traffic patterns only. We disclose all of this transparently because YMYL trust matters.
What our calculators do (and don't) collect
The numbers you enter into our debt calculators stay in your browser. We do not transmit your debt balances, APRs, payments, or any financial inputs to our servers. There is no backend database storing your debt data. If you reload the page, your inputs reset.
This is by design. We built the calculators to work entirely in your browser using JavaScript. If we did want to store your data, we would have to ask your explicit permission first.
What we do collect (analytics)
If you accept cookies via our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymized usage data:
- Which pages you visit and in what order
- How long you spend on each page
- The general geographic region of your visit (country/state)
- Your browser and device type
- The referring website that sent you to us (if any)
This data is aggregated and anonymous. We use it to understand which content is useful, where users get stuck, and how to improve. We do not use it to identify you personally.
Cookies
If you decline cookies in our banner, no analytics cookies are set. If you accept, we set:
- Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid) for traffic measurement
- A small consent cookie (cookieConsent) recording your preference
You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings.
Affiliate links and external tracking
When you click certain links on our site to partner companies (like debt consolidation or credit monitoring services), those companies may set their own tracking cookies. We have no control over partner cookies. We disclose affiliate relationships transparently — see our affiliate disclosure. Partner privacy policies apply when you visit their sites.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or, in the EU, under 16). If you believe a child has provided personal information through our site, contact us at xaviercahe@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Your rights (CCPA / GDPR principles)
You have the right to: know what data we collect, request deletion of any data we have, opt out of analytics. Since we collect almost nothing identifying about you, fulfilling these requests is straightforward. Email xaviercahe@gmail.com with any privacy request.
Changes to this policy
If we change material aspects of this privacy policy, we will update the "Effective" date above and notify users via a banner. Substantive changes will be highlighted.
